This design illustrates the principles of scale, repetition, and movement. However, I think that the most dominant principle in the design is movement, because the decrease in scale towards the top center of the spread moves the eye as though the shoes themselves are walking.

This design makes use of an analogous color scheme while illustrating the principle of repitition.

From design

This third design also uses an analogous color scheme, however the principles of dominance, scale, and containment are present. The more prevalent theme, however, is that of dominance due to the scale and forwardness of the front object in comparison with the more backward smaller scaled second layer.
